Why Eat Pork

Pork is the culinary name for the meat of a domestic pig. It is the most commonly consumed meat worldwide, with evidence of pig husbandry dating back to 5000 BC. Pork is eaten both freshly cooked and preserved. Curing extends the shelf life of the pork products

Our Pork Products

Value

Pork is an excellent source of protein and provides several important vitamins and minerals. A 3-ounce serving of pork is an “excellent” source of thiamin, selenium, protein, niacin, vitamin B-6 and phosphorus, and a good source of zinc, riboflavin and potassium.

PORK BABY BACK RIBS

Whereas spare ribs come from the belly area, baby backs are taken from around the loin, the muscle that runs along the pig’s back on either side of the spine. They’re curvier and shorter than spareribs (hence, the diminutive “baby”) with lots of lean meat both between and on top of the bones. Because they are smaller than spare ribs, they’ll take less time to cook.

BERKSHIRE PORK

Known as Kurobuta pork in Japan and Berkshire elsewhere, this pork looks and taste like no other. Unlike commercial, or "white" pork, Berkshire pork is visibly different in two important ways: the color is darker and richer and the meat is well-marbled, a unique characteristic. This pork offers a unique taste experience, as well. It's texture is supple yet meaty. It's flavor is lush, distinctive and abundant. For the true connoisseur. Product of Missouri.
